'Unwild: Regrowth, Disruption and Re-Decline in South East Australia' is an exhibition of landscape photographs by artist Murray Watson, photographed between 2014 and 2018.

These photos show the altered Australian landscape, each depicting a disruption rooted in a form of human culture: forestry, agriculture, infrastructure and fire.
Through Murray's work we see Australia as a place of regrowth, disruption and re-decline, a changing ecology defined by the confluence of human influence and natural forces.

These photos were taken and processed on the land of the Ngunnawal/Ngambri, Walbunja, Wurundjeri, Taungurung, Bratowoloong, Krowathunkooloong, Pyemmairrener and Muwinina people. I’d like to pay my respects to the elders, past, present and emerging of these nations and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
